Carapuse Bay takes on a limited number of engagements and chooses them carefully. The steps below are the same for an individual, a family, a company, or an institution; only the scope changes.
Who reviews your application
Your application goes to our client team, not directly to the lead expert. The team reads it, asks any clarifying questions, and matches it to the expert whose depth fits the question. If we are a fit, we propose a scoping consultation. If we are not, we say so plainly and, where we can, point you somewhere better.
Screening and conflicts
Before anyone reaches an expert, we check every application against the matters the practice cannot take on. At the engagement stage we also run sanctions, politically exposed person, and adverse-media checks through specialist providers. A member of our team makes the final decision on every file; that judgement is not automated away. Where a conflict exists, we decline.
The scoping consultation
Engagements begin with a paid, non-refundable scoping consultation, credited in full against a full engagement. Its purpose is to define the question, the right expert, the scope, and the fees, all of which we then confirm in writing. We do not give advice or review records before this consultation.
Engagement and verification
Substantive work starts once three things are in place, in this order: the scoping consultation, a signed engagement agreement, and identity verification (a government ID and a matching selfie, through a specialist provider). We ask for verification only at this stage, not at inquiry, so that applying costs you nothing but a few minutes.
Records and confidentiality
We never collect health records by email. Once engaged, you share records through a secure, encrypted portal. Anything containing health information is stored with heightened care, kept separate from our other systems, and seen only by the people working on your engagement. We hold what we need for as long as we need it under a written retention policy, and we do not discuss your situation with anyone outside the engagement without your consent, except where the law requires it.
What we do, and do not do
Carapuse Bay provides non-clinical advocacy, advisory, coordination, and consulting. We coordinate access to care; we do not deliver it. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and nothing we say replaces the judgement of your licensed treating providers. On health coverage we advise and, where needed, refer you to licensed brokers; we do not broker or sell insurance. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Fees
Fees are agreed in writing before any work begins, starting with the scoping fee. We do not take a share of any provider’s charges and we do not accept referral payments, so our only interest is yours.
